When your rights are up for debate, your body must be sovereign

Another day in America, another reminder that women’s bodies are still seen as battlegrounds.

In June, the Supreme Court made it clear they’re still willing to play political games with our reproductive freedom, agreeing to hear a case that challenges access to emergency contraception and hormonal birth control, all under the guise of “conscience.”

Let’s be honest: this isn’t about morality. It’s about control.

In July, while most people were prepping for fireworks and hot dogs, the U.S. House of Representatives quietly passed a bill that defunded Planned Parenthood’s ability to receive Medicaid reimbursements.

That means millions of people who rely on Medicaid for birth control, STI testing, pap smears, cancer screenings, and reproductive education can no longer access those services through Planned Parenthood.

And for many of us, it’s triggering as hell. The overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022 wasn’t just a policy shift- it was a rupture. This is a calculated attack on reproductive access, targeting the most vulnerable populations and leaving millions of women, queer folks, and low-income people without care. A visceral reminder that what we thought was protected, what we assumed was permanent, can be taken away overnight.

Healthcare Should Be a Human Right—But Until It Is, We Must Educate Ourselves

The Hyde Amendment already banned federal Medicaid funds from covering abortions. But now even non-abortion care is under attack- birth control, STI testing, routine cancer screenings.

This is systemic violence disguised as policy.

Which is why I believe so deeply in accessible education. Because when institutions gatekeep care, we reclaim it through wisdom. Because no one- not a politician, not a provider, not a partner- should know more about your body than you do.

We can’t afford to be passive about our health. And it’s why I created the Sovereign Contraception Guide—a living, breathing resource on herbal contraceptive options and reproductive education, priced accessibly at just $22.

Because $22 is a fraction of what it costs to see a doctor without insurance. Because $22 is cheaper than Plan B. Because $22 is less than the cost of your favorite brunch—yet it could empower you to understand and protect your body for a lifetime.

When Healthcare Is Gatekept, We Turn to the Garden

Herbal medicine has always been the people’s medicine. For centuries, plants like Queen Anne’s Lace, Cotton Root Bark, and Pennyroyal were used by midwives, healers, and wise women- not just to treat illness, but to regulate fertility and support choice.

The pharmaceutical industry didn’t invent birth control. They just branded it, bottled it, and charged a premium for it.

While I am not anti-medical system (access to healthcare is a human right), I am pro-sovereignty. That means learning both the clinical and herbal pathways to contraception so we can make informed decisions for ourselves, on our own terms.

The truth is, most of us were never taught the full spectrum of our cycle—let alone how to track our fertility or what herbs could be used for prevention. That’s not an accident. A disempowered woman is an easily controlled woman.

But when you understand the luteal phase, ovulation, implantation windows… When you can spot your cervical mucus, feel your internal “yes” or “no." When you know the difference between emergency contraception and daily support herbs…

You become dangerous. Not because you’re reckless. But because you are ungovernable. And that scares systems built on submission.

The Power of Choice

You have a choice today. And everyday. You have the choice to understand power more deeply or to be imprisoned by it. You have the choice to know your body & know the earth more deeply or to succumb to those who wish to devour it.

You * clap ** Need * clap * To * clap * Get * clap * Educated * clap *

I created Sovereign Contraception to be an accessible, holistic guide for those seeking sovereignty over their cycles, choices, and contraceptive options. You deserve access to knowledge, to options, to ancient wisdom and modern science.

This guide helps you build a relationship with the plants that support your sovereignty, so you're not left scrambling when a pharmacy, court, or government decides your fate.

This isn’t just a collection of herbal recipes—it’s a roadmap to remember your power. It teaches you:

  • How to track your fertility and understand your body’s wisdom
  • How to work with herbal allies like Queen Anne’s Lace
  • Cycle syncing and reproductive rituals
  • How to discern what works for you, not just what you’ve been told

For centuries, herbalism has been the people’s medicine. Not because it was trendy, but because it was necessary. When midwives and medicine women were outlawed or burned, their knowledge went underground.

Now, we are the ones digging it back up and we’re not doing it in secret anymore.
